In this conversation, Maldonado discusses the history of medical “safety” and what this currently means to Indigenous women, while Narcho explores the queer experience within the Indigenous community, specifically students who attend IAIA. Lukee focuses on the importance of generational and traditional jewelry making within Pueblo culture, and Rodriguez recalls her birthplace of Mississippi and the traumatic birth of her daughter, as written through her poetry.
